Welcome
School Hours

Thanks for joining us at Desert Valley Elementary, home of the Eagles. We teach over 700 students in grades 3 to 5 here in Bullhead City, Arizona. We have a 93% attendance rate, and we also help the community by providing preschool classes to little ones at risk.

We're delighted to have your children attend school with us each day. Here at Desert Valley, we focus on character development as part of our classroom teachings. Each month we focus on one of the six pillars of good character. We prepare students for success in their future grades, and in being responsible citizen in the community. Desert Valley is also a Reading First grant recipient, meaning we have extra funding from the government. We spend these resources to help your child become a better reader. We want all students to be successful readers, and this Reading First grant will help us make that happen. We're happy to report that our fourth graders were above the average state AIMS scores in reading and math.

Our school has over 45 teachers and staff members to make each day an excellent day for learning. Please check out our calendar to stay updated on holidays and grade level programs. You'll also be excited to read about the news and events coming up within the next few months.

Just spend a few moments browsing the rest of our school’s Web site. We’ve included the most important information you’ll need to know about us. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or want to talk about your child's progress.

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to Desert Valley. We are pleased that you are part of the Desert Valley community. Whether you are a first time student or a returning student who has already experienced and been a part of the programs we have to offer, we are glad to have you with us. There are so many exciting things for you that this school has to offer. Please make the effort to participate in as many activities as you can while you are with us. You won’t be sorry.

We value all aspects of education for your children. That's why we strive to instill good character in students while teaching them the basic building blocks of learning. Good education and good citizenship go hand in hand. We hope your child will feel safe at school and be eager to learn. Our teachers are very willing to help out for extra needs, and teach until your student is able to learn challenging new concepts. Thank you for letting us make the future a better place by teaching your kids.

Sincerely,

Signature Ronald Casey
